IT Shocker For Producers Of Agnathavasi And Jai Simha

Hyderabad: IT raids were held on the production houses of Telugu films including those of recent releases such as Agnathavasi and Jai Simha, on Wednesday.

The raids were conducted after reports that successful production houses are defaulting on taxes. The IT sleuths raided the house and offices of C Kalyan, producer of Jai Simha, producer of Pawan Kalyan's Agnathavasi - Harika Hasini Creations, Suresh Productions, Bhavya Creations, DVV Creations, North Star Entertainments besides eight other production houses. IT officers also issued notices to several of them for tax default since three years.

Meanwhile, producer C Kalyan acknowledged that IT raids were conducted at his offices. He said that the IT raids are routinely held after the release of a big budget movie. His movie Jai Simha starring Balakrishna was released on January 12.
