Is the TDP Trying to get the elections in Nandyal countermanded for fear of losing? YSRCP General Secretary Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has alleged that the TDP, which is staring at a defeat, was trying to get the elections postponed citing law and order issues. He scoffed at the TDP campaign that the YSRCP was trying to disrupt peace in Nandyal.

TDP Luring Voters By Fraudulent Means: The TDP is continuing with its tried and trusted allurement policy in Nandyal. On Friday, the TDP activists tried to lure voters with Rs 1000 and a bottle of wine in the Mullanpet area under Ward No 10. The YSRCP activists got wind of it and descended there pronto forcing the TDP men to take to their heels.

Tanuku MLA Holds Party Meeting In Civic Body Building: The TDP is also flouting poll code with impunity. Tanuku TDP MLA has in fact conducted a meeting of the party workers right inside the municipal office. He had even tried to lure the voters by promising them houses if the TDP candidate wins. Interestingly, the officials of the municipality turned a Nelson's Eye even as the TDP MLA flouted norms.

Balakrishna Caught Distributing Money: Hero and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna was caught red-handed distributing money to the people who participated in his roadshows. On Thursday, shutterbugs clicked him giving currency notes to women. Balakrishna has also slapped a fan-cum-TDP worker, when he tried to garland him after the road show.

Ambati Rambabu 

TDP Offering Sops, Money, Wine: The YSRCP has accused the ruling TDP of resorting to irregularities to win the by-polls. Party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said the TDP was trying to lure the voters with sops, money and even wine. He said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has realised that he was staring at a defeat, has been trying every trick in the trade to countermand the elections.

K Partha Sarathi 

YSRCP Workers Intimidated: Another spokesperson of the party K Partha Sarathi alleged that the Government was foisting bindover cases on YSRCP workers and added that a terror campaign was unleashed on the Dalits, who are supporting the YSRCP. The police are conducting raids on the houses of the YSRCP activists and is trying to terrorise them.
