Is CM playing it safe?, asks Akepati
Rajampet MLA Akepati Amarnath Reddy on Thursday hit out at Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's remark on YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
During a speech at Medak district, the CM had made a controversial comment on the YSRCP president.
On Thursday, MLA Akepati slammed Kiran Kumar Reddy saying although the CM was aware of the conspiracies hatched by the Congress and the TDP that led to the arrest of Jagan, Kiran Kumar was behaving as if he knew nothing.
"If Jagan's 'Odarpuyatra' had continued, the public would have lost total faith in the TDP and Congress parties given the kind of interest and public attention Jagan's Odarpuyatra was generating. Thus, unable to bear the rising popularity of Jagan, the Congress and the TDP conspired to send Jagan to jail," the MLA said.
He also reasoned that the very fact that both Kiran Kumar Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu began their public meetings after sending Jagan to jail shows that they are very much involved in the plot. YSRCP is the only party which has credibility in the state, he said.
He demanded a probe into the CDs which were released by social activist Aravind Kejriwal.
