Is BJP trying to move away from TDP?
In the first sign of souring of TDP-BJP relations in Andhra Pradesh, the BJP has said that there is governance deficit in the state.
Vizag MP and Andhra Pradesh BJP chief Kambhampati Haribabu said though the government was formed a month ago, the state appears to have no governance at all.
Kambhampati's comments assume significance as BJP is part of the Chandrababu ministry and has two ministries. Similarly, the TDP has one ministerial position in the Centre.
This comment of Kambhampati has set off speculations of souring of BJP-TDP relations and of the BJP having second thoughts about joining forces with the TDP. Significantly, TDP does not need BJP support in the state, while Narendra Modi is completely on his own in the centre.
"How would they develop Andhra Pradeh by sitting in Hyderabad? Nothing will happen if we eat idle away time in Hyderabad and pay taxes to the Telangana government," Kambhampati Haribabu commented.
