IPL 2018: Rajasthan Bowls 7 Legal Deliveries in One Over
As a result of utter negligence by the umpires, Rajasthan Royals pacer Ben Laughlin bowled seven legal balls in an over in Monday's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, in IPL 2018. This rare incident happened in the 12th over of Sunrisers' innings, when captain Ajinkya Rahane deployed the Australian player to bowl the over.
Fortunately for the match officials, the match was easily won by Sunrisers Hyderabad in a one-sided contest. Sunrisers' easy win did not mean a huge difference to Rajasthan Royals. In the first innings, the Sunisers restricted RR to 125/9 and chased down the target with nine wickets and 25 balls remaining.

Chasing a target of 126, the Sunrisers lost the wicket of opener Wriddhiman Saha early in the innings. Captain Kane Williamson joined opener Shikar Dhawan to build a partnership. The duo added 114 runs to the first wicket partnership, to see off things for Sunrisers.
Before putting a small target of just 125, the Rajasthan Royals batting line-up collapsed in a hurry, thanks to superb bowling performances from medium pacer Siddharth Kaul and all rounder Shakib Al Hasan. Sanju Samson, who scored 49 runs off 42 balls, was the only batsman to make a decent score.
