IPL 2018 Opening Ceremony: Celebrities In Attendance
After a decade of incredible success and unmatched turnout, the stage is all set for the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League to kick-start tomorrow with a a cracker of an event, the opening ceremony. With come back teams Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals back in the business, cricket fans are relishing the fresh outlook of IPL, with new squads and coaching staffs. Prior to the inaugural match between home side Mumbai Indians and come back team Chennai Super Kings, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is ready to begin the IPL 2018 with a bang.
Players from all franchisees will grace the ceremony, which will see scintillating performances by Bollywood superstars, Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan and Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez. Although it was announced that “Padmaavat” star Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra would also perform at the colossal event, the two actors have withdrawn due to different reasons. In this regard, the IPL organizers have tweaked the schedule of the event.

"Parineeti was shooting non-stop for 'Namastey England' in Patiala and had back-to-back, pre-committed endorsement commitments. So, unfortunately, she did not have enough time to rehearse in spite of her best efforts," Parineeti’s spokesperson said.
"Being a thorough professional, Parineeti spoke to Wizcraft (show producers) and explained to them that she was not okay putting up a compromised performance. Wizcraft has been gracious enough to understand this and agrees with Parineeti. She would not be performing at the gala opening," added the spokesperson.

In an exciting news, it was earlier announced that Ranveer Singh would be performing at the gala. However, Ranveer’s doctors advised not to perform akin to an aggravating shoulder injury.
“Thank you for the good wishes everyone. I’m good. Its just a labral tear in my left shoulder. I intend to come back stronger. Love you all,” Ranveer said in a tweet on April 03, 2018.
On the other side, Superstar Hrithik Roshan is in the preparation mode to ease the big audince tomorrow. Hrithik, who is all set to be the biggest attraction in the ceremony, has shared his plans in this regard. The stylish actor said, “Yes, I can officially confirm that I will be performing for the opening ceremony of IPL 2018. I have already started rehearsing for it. It will be fun to perform in front of a live audience once again.”
The IPL 2018 Opening Ceremony will commence at 5 pm tomorrow, and will be telecasted live on the Star Sports network, Airtel TV and Hotstar.
