iPhone Battery Explodes After Man Bites It To Test Authenticity 

A man attempted to test the authenticity of an iPhone battery by biting it. The result - it exploded in his face injuring him and those near him.

According to Taiwan News, the incident took place last Friday in a Chinese store. The man wanted a replacement battery for his iPhone. However, when the salesperson presented him with the replacement battery he tried to test it by biting the new battery resulting in the explosion.

The CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on the social media evoking varied reactions from netizens. Some netizens said that gold and food items are tested this way but it is the first that a phone battery is checked this way. Others suggested that the incident should be a warning for others on the usage of electronic devices.
