Internal Bickerings In TDP To The Fore During CM’s Nandyal Visit

TDP MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy - Sakshi Post

Nandyal: The infighting within the ranks of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was more than apparent during chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu's tour of Nandyal, on Saturday.

The chief minister is already on his second visit to the constituency in as many months which is heading for a by-poll following the death of MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy. However, a prominent absentee during the CM's meeting in Nandyal was TDP MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy. The legislator was apparently miffed at being sidelined by minister Bhuma Akhila Priya. He was not seen in several of the TDP's meetings in recent months. Several partymen have stated that senior TDP leaders from the constituency are being ignored while a relatively new comer such as Akhila Priya is being given importance.

The CM's security

Meanwhile, the state police is going all out to provide foolproof security to Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Nandyal. They deployed 10 DSP rank officers, 23 circle inspectors, 86 SIs, 254 ASIs, 654 constables, 6 platoons of AR personnel, 3 platoons of APSP, 6 special party teams and 300 homeguards while the chief minister toured the poll-bound constituency.
