Internal Bickering, Group Politics Rule The Roost In TDP
Internal bickering and group politics have come to the fore in the ranks of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), as leaders complain about each other to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
This apart, the ministers representing their regions are fuelling the issues by backing their men. Differences between Anantapuram MLA Prabhakar Choudhary and MP JC Diwakar Reddy have reached to a new level. The infighting of both the leaders is currently impacting development of Anantapuram town.
Diwakar Reddy has been making all out efforts to thwart Prabhakar Choudhary's chances to get party ticket for 2019 elections. As part of the game, the TDP pulled Gurunath Reddy into the party by luring him with a party ticket. If Gurunath Reddy is given the ticket, Choudhary might switch his loyalties to the opposition YSRCP.
It may be recalled that Diwakar Reddy had complained to the TDP Chief several times alleging that there was a large scale corruption in Anantapuram Municipal Corporation. He alleged that MLA Choudhary and the Anantapur Mayor had colluded to swindle public money. Choudhary and the Mayor too have been leveling allegations against Diwakar Reddy to defend themselves.
