Hyderabad: An inter-state robbery gang was busted by Task Force team on Sunday. The officials recovered cash worth Rs.18.13 lakh from their possession.

The officials arrested two offenders - Mukundaram (28) and Suresh Sharma (26) while their three associates are at large. Their associates are Rajesh Sharma, Dinesh Sharma and Dayal Rao. All five are native of Rajasthan.

Task Force DCP B Limba Reddy said that Dinesh Sharma, who was working as a marketing executive with plywood merchant of Begum Bazar noticed Varun Sharma and Narayana, employees of another plywood merchant keeping huge amounts of cash in a room.

Dinesh informed his associates that Narayana would not be in the city in September first week and they hatched a plan to rob on September 5, DCP added.

“As per the plan they entered the room and pinned down Varun and stole Rs 32 lakh cash, gold ornaments and two mobiles. Other’s left to Rajasthan after the robbery but Dinesh continued to work here,” said Reddy.
