Intelligence alert prompts cops for massive checks in Hyd
As the Central Intelligence Department sounded an alert warning on Wednesday, the Hyderabad police launched massive surprise checks in the twin cities.
The sleuths of Octopus (Organisation to Counter Terrorist Operations) conducted checks at various places in Hyderabad. Octopus teams rushed to I-Max theatre and checked the belongings of the people.
The Hyderabad police arranged public alerts at all the main junctions in the city with public addressing system (PAS) requesting the people to be cautious about the happenings in their surrounding areas. They asked the people to inform them immediately, If they found anybody moving suspiciously or vehicles parked in their area under suspicious circumstances. The bomb squad held inspections at Uppalvayi, Nzamabad railway stations following phone calls from the public.
