India Win 4th Test At Dharamsala; Clinch 4-Match Series Against Australia 

Dharamsala: India sealed a memorable 2-1 series victory against Australia, with an eight-wicket win in the fourth Test in Dharamasala, thus reclaiming the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. On Day 4, KL Rahul scored his seventh fifty as India reached the target in less than a session. Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored a quick-fire 38 off 27 balls. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja’s stellar show with bat and ball put the Rahane-led team in the drivers’ seat in the fourth and final Test. After bowling out Australia for 137 in the second innings, India got off to a steady start chasing a target of 106. Murali Vijay and KL Rahul added 46 for the first wicket before Vijay nicked one off to the keeper. Pujara didn't trouble the scorers much as he was dismissed for a duck but Ajinkya Rahane along with Rahul took the hosts home without any more damage.

In a great comeback for India, which lost the first Test match comprehensively, the hosts came back strongly in the second Test. The third Test ended in a draw as both teams went into the last Test match with the series hanging in balance. But it was India who came out on top in Dharamsala. After bowling out Australia for 300, India took the lead and bowled out the visitors for 137 in the second innings. WIth a target of 106 to chase, Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul took India home after Murali Vijay and Rahul added 46 for the first wicket. India win the series 2-1 and reclaim the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

India were set a target of 106 and despite the nerves from the other end, Lokesh Rahul's 6th Test fifty in the series ensured that India ended victorious. Australia would believe that they could have done better in all three departments in the game. They needed to bat better in both innings, dropped a few catches which potentially cost them the handy runs towards the end. Cummins was superb with the ball along with Lyon but they might have expected more support from Hazlewood and O'Keefe in terms of the wickets.
