Hyderabad: Continuing with the tradition in the new state, Telangana government will be celebrating Independence Day at Golconda Fort for the third year on August 15.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would pay homage to soldiers at Military Memorial (Veerula Sainik Smark) at Parade Grounds, following which he will unfurl the National Flag at the Golconda Fort at 10 am

At a review meeting convened by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma at Secretariat on Tuesday, he directed the officials of various departments to make foolproof arrangements for the event.

“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would pay homage to soldiers at Military Memorial (Veerula Sainik Smark) at Parade Grounds, following which he will unfurl the National Flag at the Golconda Fort at 10 am,” he added.

All the important buildings like Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, High Court would be lit up. Artistes from the cultural department will perform at the historic fort.
