Indefinite Hunger Strike By YSRCP Permitted In AP Bhavan

AP Bhavan in New Delhi - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: The government has today gave permission for the YSR Congress Party MPs to take up indefinite hunger strike in AP Bhavan premises. If the NDA government fails to make any announcement regarding Special Category Status (SCS) to AP by the end of tomorrow's Parliament session, the MPs would resign and directly come to AP Bhavan to take up the indefinite hunger strike.

The YSRCP MPs had submitted a letter of request to the Resident Commissioner Praveen Prakash of AP Bhavan few days ago. The letter mentioned that the indefinite hunger strike was for the benefit of the state as well as to achieve SCS. Responding to their request, AP Bhavan today has formally given its consent.

Meanwhile, YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon everyone in the state to come forward in support to the fasting MPs. He also informed the party cadre to take up relay hunger strike in their constituencies along with general public, intellectuals, peoples' organisations, students and youth.
