Inaugural plaque goes missing, minister cancels visit

Silly as it may seem, but a minister in Telangana government cancelled his visit to a village merely because the plaque of the building he was to inaugurate was stolen.

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy was to inaugurate a primary health centre (PHC) in Mambapur village of Peddemul mandal. However, in view of a dispute over the land, some people stole the plaque on Wednesday morning. 
On knowing this, the minister had cancelled his visit to the village. The local upa sarpanch lodged a complaint with the police about the theft.
