Imran Khan at 63 years of age is still hoping to get hitched for third time! 

Imran Khan former Pakistan cricket captain and the current chairman of Pakistan Tehreek –e-Insaf recently stated in an interview to Hindustan times that he is willing to marry a third time as it is not in his blood to give up.

When asked about his plans on third marriage, he stated without any doubt he will marry again even at the age of 63. The idea of third marriage has not sent shivers down his spine even after experiencing two divorces instead he is more convinced about plugging a third time. 

His bachelorhood was an epitome among men and strongly envied far and wide, however Imran states that marriage bestows one with the ‘civilization of life’ if you marry the right person, since divorce is the worst kind of human torture and cited it as “terrible experience”.  He will consider marriage a third time however he will approach it with caution, since life is unpredictable and one can never be assured of what is going to happen next.

Imran’s second marriage to British-Pakistani journalist Reham Khan in January 2015 ended in divorce, he was barely married for 11 months. He stated that it was difficult for Reham to adjust to the cultural live of Pakistan and being at the beginning of her career, this combination made her journey to a married life difficult. He added that the second divorce was the most painful for him.

Imran khan said that during both of his marriages he has always remained faithful to his partners and condemns the act of infidelity. Even after 11 years of divorce, Imran Khan and Jemima share a very strong bond; he still remains in touch with his mother in law and often visits her place. After his first divorce he was advised by psychologist to not marry again for the sake of his kids. Hence he waited for them to grow up.

As with age and wisdom Imran Khan stated that he has only been married for 10 years out of 63 years of his life, he considers family life as the prized possession. His happiest moments were watching his two sons grow up in front of his eyes.

Although there were few difficulties during the second time of marriage, however his kids have grown up now and wouldn’t have a problem with him getting married the third time as living alone is not a natural way of life.
