IIT Student commits suicide in Vishakapatnam

An IIT student from Hyderabad committed suicide in Vishakapatnam on Saturday.

According to reports, Shivaji Teja hailing from Hyderabad was studying in IIT, Mumbai. He visited Vishakapatnam on January 16 and took room in Ashwini lodge in Sitammadhara.

Later in the afternoon, he went downstairs to get a bottle of water, and after returning to his room, locked the door from inside.

During lunchtime, a hotel staff knocked at his door, but he didn't respond. They again knocked on Friday morning and when they didn't get any response, the hotel management broke  the door. On entering the room they found him dead, with his head wrapped in a polythene cover.

The police was informed, and they immediately notified the parents of the incident.The reason behind the suicide is yet to ascertained, and the police is trying to figure out why Teja would travel to Vishakhapatnam to commit suicide.And they are also skeptical about the use of polythene bag.
