Kakinada: Actress Hema questioned chief minister Chandrababu Naidu over his negligence on Kapu reservations. While participating at a meeting in Kakinada held by women, she said that chief minister should fulfill his election promise mentioned in the manifesto.

Hema wanted to know as to why TDP leaders from other castes who are opposing the reservation now, were silent during the elections when TDP had the Kapu reservation issue highlighted in their election manifesto

She added that she will support Kapu patron Mudragada Padmanabham in his agitation, and added she won’t be deterred even if she doesn’t get any roles in film industry after that.

Hema wanted to know as to why TDP leaders from other castes who are opposing the reservation now, were silent during the elections when TDP had the Kapu reservation issue highlighted in their election manifesto.

After the meeting, all the women started beating their plates with tablespoons as a sign of their protest.

It may be recalled that, in the past she contested as an MLA under Kiran Kumar Reddy’s party ‘Jai Samaikyandhra party'.
