I will be out of jail in 3 months: Maqbool

The uttering of Syed Maqbool, one of the two Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives, who were brought from Tihar jail to Hyderabad in connection with Dilshuknagar twin blasts investigation shocked the National Investigation Agencies (NIA sleuths on Tuesday.

Maqbool told the media persons while going to the Tihar Jail from Patiala court :"I will be back from jail in 3 months." 

It may be recalled that Maqbool and Imran Khan were taken into NIA custody for interrogation after the Dlishuknagar blasts. The duo was taken to several places in the city after they told the investigators that they have plotted to plant bombs in 10 places. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy cancelled the remission granted to Syed Maqbool in 2009 and the filed was forwarded to the Governor Narasimhan on Tuesday.

The then government granted remission to Maqbool based on the ‘good conduct’ certificate issued by the prison authorities and released Maqbool in October 2009.  He was arrested subsequently in Hyderabad November, 2012 by Delhi police in connection with series of blasts in Pune in 2007.
