'I don't think there will be all-party meeting'

Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Saturday refused to specify a time-frame for a solution to impasse over demand for a separate state for Telangana, saying there was no plan to convene an all-party meeting on the issue.

Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, Shinde said discussions have been held in an all-party meeting earlier and informal discussions keep taking place.

Answering queries about a solution on the demand for a separate state of Telangana, he said it can "happen before the parliament session (winter session which starts Nov 22) or after that."

Asked about all-party meeting, he said it will be called if needed.
"I don't think there will be all-party meeting," he said.
