'I am in deep distress only due to Andhra Jyothy'

“I am in deep distress only due to some writings in Andhra Jyothy,” said Congress candidate from Wardhanpet assembly constituency Kondeti Sridhar, who attempted suicide recently.

Sridhar is presently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad.

In his press statement released from the hospital, he said, “The news report published on April 30 in Andhra Jyothy is untrue. It said that Varada Rajeswara Rao, my political guru, beat me up after taking some money from Congress party and me. It never happened. The reporters of the daily heavily pressurized Rajeswara Rao and me for money. As they could not get the money from us, they wrote in the way.”

Sridhar clarified that he would take legal action against the daily after getting discharged from the hospital. “The management of the daily must give an explanation on its writings published against me,” demanded the leader.
