Surprise Showers Soak Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The unseasonal rains lead to the dip in temperature across the State of Telangana including Hyderabad. Many parts of the city experienced light to heavy downpours on Monday evening.

The state of Telangana including the city of Hyderabad was witnessing dry weather conditions for the past few days with the onset of winter. Though nights were pleasant with cool breezes, days were partly cloudy and partly sunny. As a result, the days were slightly warm.

However, due to the cyclonic condition and heavy downpours in many parts of Tamil Nadu, moist winds were expected to reach Telangana including the state capital. Due to this, many parts of the state and Hyderabad received unexpected rainfalls.

Many parts like Langer House, Tolichowki, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Banjara Hills, Somajiguda and Gachibowli received light to heavy rains.

Though the rains last night surprised the citizens of Hyderabad, it prompted many residents to slip into their winter wear. These rains also paved the way for pleasant weather conditions over the state. They were instrumental in bringing down the maximum and minimum temperatures across the city.
