India’s First ‘Science Corridor’ In Twin Cities
Hyderabad: To create a scientific temper in common public, especially in young minds, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) in collaboration with Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) and L&T Metro Rail will be developing science corridor in between Secunderabad East and Nagole Metro station.
According to reports, promotional activities like theme-based science and technology exhibitions will be organised at select metro stations. HMRL, IICT and L&T Metro Rail HyderAbad signed a memorandum of understating (MoU) on Thursday to develop science corridor.
The MoU was signed by IICT's senior principal scientist D Shailaja, HMRL general manager B N Rajeshwar and L&TMRHL company secretary Chandrachud D Paliwal.
IICT director S Chandrasekhar said to a daily that it is the first time in the country that an exclusive science corridor is being developed to inspire young minds.
