RGIA Hyderabad Adds Another Feather To Its Cap

Hyderabad: Airport Security Groups (ASG) of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad added another feather to its cap after winning the second prize for offering a clean, hygienic environment for the security personnel. The first prize was won by IGIA Delhi. An internal competition as held among the ASGs of all the seven Joint Venture airports on infrastructure development.

According to officials, there were 13 parameters on which the competition was based. Among them were maintenance and cleanliness of barracks, quality of food, office infrastructure for the personnel, sports activities, and facilities, maintenance of armory, availability of furniture and overall hygiene, among others.

ASGs of all the airports were given three months of time for the development of their infrastructure after which an assessment was made by a committee of Senior CISF officials.

“We had renovated the cricket grounds, renovated the mess and also had a new bachelor accommodation which can accommodate 240 of our personnel,” informed Chief Airport Security Officer, Sachin Badshah.

Airport Security Groups (ASG) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) who guard airports, appears to have yielded results.
