Vivek Dares Hanumanth Rao On HCA Corruption Charges
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) issue is turning murkier by the day. Allegations and counter allegations, corruption charges all have been rife all the time. Adding to these is the new issue. Former HCA president G Vivek Venkataswamy expressed his anger over Amberpet Cricket club president and senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao for defaming his name.
At a recent Special General Body Meeting (SGM), Hanumantha Rao had alleged that Vivek was involved in corruption during his tenure. Countering the statements of senior Congress leader, Vivek challenged him to prove the allegations and prove the corruption charges. He alleged that Hanumantha Rao was spreading false rumours. The allegations are baseless, he said and added that if Hanumantha Rao can prove that he had taken corruption of Rs 12 crores, he would gift him Rs 24 crores.

The former HCA president said that office bearers Arshad Ayub and John Monoj were facing corruption charges over the construction of stadium canopy. They both have agreed to pay Rs 17 crores to settle the matter. These both along with Azharuddin and HCA secretary Seshnarayan were spreading false information on him, he added.
