Hyderabad Woman Catches Stalkers On Camera

Hyderabad: A video of two women harassed by a group of men in a broad daylight has yet again raised question on women's safety. Two women traveling in an auto on Tuesday from Mailardevpally to Abids to go shopping were chased by two motorists for at least 10 km. The victims were ogled at and harassed. After the video went viral, three youths have been held while the main accused is at large.

The victim said that she recorded the incident so that everybody believed her plight. The accused chased the auto and later barged inside and was seated next to the driver, hurling abuses at the women. They were later joined by other few men who made the auto stop at a deserted place.

As the accused was unyielding to let them go, the women came out of the auto and started questioning them. The accused fearing that people would gather and would be beaten up slipped away from the place.

The victim's father says, "Where are the SHE teams and where are the police? No one came to the rescue of my daughter though it happened in broad day light."

“These men have been stalking me for some time but no one believed me earlier and this is the first time they have confronted me,” said the victim. Mailardevapally Police Station Inspector P Jagadeeshwar said, a case under sections 354(d) of the IPC has been registered.
