Hyderabad University Figures In QS World Ranking For First Time
Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad for the first time figured in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings-2018 by securing a place in the top 601- 650.
"It is nice to see the University of Hyderabad performing well and making an entry in the QS World Rankings for the first time. We hope to increase publications quality that will read and be cited world over to enable us to move to top 200 club by next year,” said Appa Rao Podile, vice-chancellor.

In the prestigious QS rankings, 12 Indian institutors have made it top 700 this year. IIT-Delhi replaced IISc, Bengaluru by ranking 172, while the latter stood at 190. Meanwhile, University of Delhi ranked between 481-490, Jadavpur University 601-650, Anna University 651-700.
Academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per faculty, student-to-faculty ratio, international faculty and international students are the parameters on which the universities have been ranked by QS.
