'Hyderabad Traffic Live App', Easing Out Traffic Issues in City

Hyderabad: Ever since the launch of 'Hyderabad Traffic Live' – a mobile app for cummuters and motorists in Hyderabad to find solutions for traffic related issues and for better commuting experience without any traffic jams, it has been downloaded and being used by thousands of commuters. In a way, it has become apparently a virtual helping aide for the city people.

'Hyderabad Traffic Live' mobile application launched by Hyderabad Traffic Police in October last year, works like a bridge between Hyderabad Traffic Police and motorists/commuters for smooth handling of traffic related operations and for faster and friendly redressal of issues. This App provides direct contact with traffic police for information, complaints, suggestions via central server. Also it can be availed to complain about the traffic violations by fellow commuters.

Other important features of this App are 'Auto Fare Estimation' by which the commuters can complain if they find any irregular auto fares than the government approved rates. You can find approximate distance to the destination. The App provides live traffic status of Hyderabad city from current location to destination place, so that commuters can take diversion, or an alternative route.

The App also helps find the information and locations of:
- nearest police station,
- free parking areas,
- bus stops,
- auto-stands
- paid parking lots and
- water stagnant areas using Google maps.

Traffic Inspector (IT Cell) Sokkam Pratap said, “Hyderabad Traffic Live app provides the information of e-challan status, towed vehicle information, vehicle RTA and ownership details. The city commuters can also get a lot of information like about the traffic rules and violations and their respective fine impositions and challan details.” “The app also provides some important and useful links like emergency numbers, blood banks, fire stations, criminal alerts women and child care etc. The app is useful for every citizen of the city”, the Inspector said.

Another official of the same cadre Narsinga Rao said, “It is a best service app by which citizens can lodge complaints against any public services like auto, bus, cab, taxi and others and immediate action will be taken by the nearest traffic constables.” “The usage of the app is in a wide range and increasing day by day to overcome the traffic problems by getting lot of useful and required information at a click away from their finger tips”, he added.
