Hyderabad-Origin Doc’s Landmark Investigation On Sepsis Shock Patients In US
Hyderabad-origin pulmonologist Dr Aditya Chada did landmark investigations that proved the association of Clostridium difficile infection in septic shock patients.
Termed landmark investigation by pulmonary and critical care experts, this study identified the causes of sepsis, a dreaded cause of major mortality in hospitals across the globe. Clostridium difficile is the commonest cause of infectious diarrhea in admitted patients in the hospital. Dr. Chada has co-authored a highly important manuscript on Clostridium difficile diarrhea, the commonest cause of diarrhea in the hospital settings. The authors demonstrate that C diff diarrhea may be significantly associated with septic shock.This manuscript has been published in the prestigious Journal of Hospital Medicine.
Dr Chada, who hails from Hyderabad, was topper in medicine and did his MD in Internal Medicine from Florida Hospital and is presently doing his Fellowship in Pulmonology and Criticsl Care in Arkansas, USA.
