Hyderabad MMTS Phase II To Be Functional By Year End

Hyderabad: The Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS) Phase II would be in operation by the end of the year. The MMTS would be functional from Telapur-R.C. Puram and Moula Ali-Ghatkesar in few months.

Interestingly, South Central Railways M V K Yadav said they are in talks with Civil Aviation Ministry about having an airport connectivity. "We can build a tunnel to reach the terminal rather than stopping 2-3 km away. When metro rail can be built, MMTS too can run as the clientele is different," he informed. The metro officials have so far spent Rs 470 crore and need the state government to release earmarked Rs 356 crore for the project.
