Hyderabad marches to save animals - Sakshi Post

The Global march for elephants, rhinos, lions and tigers 2015 marks the fourth global march event in Hyderabad and has been the biggest global march event so far here with more than 100 people joining the event to show their support for the cause reiterating slogans and displaying placards to stop the atrocities committed against these creatures.

The global marches are an annual event taking place in cities all over the world in the first week of October. This year, the event took place in 135 cities and in India only three cities participated with Hyderabad being one among them.
October 3rd 2015 started out as a gloomy day with it raining heavily throughout different parts of the city. However it seemed like the nature God’s just knew that the marchers were on their side and blessed them with the most pleasant weather. The march started at 3:30 p.m. outside gate number 6 of KBR Park and we walked to the main gate of KBR in road number 2.
Most of the marchers included kids, students and NCC cadets from St. Francis College for woman courtesy of their amazing NCC officer Mrs. Marie Thomas.

The event concluded with a speech by Mr. Ram Subramanian who spoke about the plight of these animals and how they are ruthlessly poached.
