Hyderabad: The city has geared up class 10 examinations beginning on Tuesday with necessary arrangements in place.

According to Hyderabad District Education Officer Ramesh the vocational examinations are scheduled to begin on March 14 while exams for the regular stream will begin on March 17.

One Minute Delay: There will be no entry for students who arrive at the examination center even a minute after the scheduled time, Ramesh said. In view of the city traffic, the entry time into the exam hall will be from 8:45 am to 9:35 am, he said and added that those who arrive after 9:35 am will not be permitted. Also, school uniforms will not be permitted, he said.

The city traffic police too are not left behind in helping the students.

No Cell Phones: Cell phones will not be permitted in examination centers, he said. "The rule applies for the students as well as the invigilators," he clarified. In case of emergency, they can utilise the cell phones of the duty policemen, he said.

Control Rooms: Special control rooms have been setup to take of student grievances. Students can dial 040-65537350 for exam center or hall ticket related queries.

Special Buses: 1,000 special buses will be plied in selected routes for the benefit of students appearing for the class 10 examination. Students can display their hall tickets to board these buses, DEO Ramesh said. The special buses will have "SSC Examination" displayed on them.
