Hyderabad Denizens Oppose Telangana Secretariat at Bison Polo Ground

Telangana government's proposal to construct the new secretariat at Bison polo ground in Hyderabad has suffered a setback.

Residents of Hyderabad aren't too happy with the decision. Scores of them submitted an online complaint against the move.

They contend that this is one of the few green pastures left in Hyderabad. "We shall follow this up and have the plans, to concretize the open spaces of Gymkhana ground and Bison Grounds, totally scrapped." said activist Lubna Sarwath.

"We are also drawing plans of how much can be reclaimed from the lost open spaces, green spaces, water bodies, in order to further prevent destruction of human and biodiversity of Hyderabad," added Lubna.

The activists wondered how the Telangana Chief Minister KCR intends to go ahead with the construction while a case is pending in the High Court against any construction in the Bison and Gymkhana grounds.
