Hyderabad cops’ app to build bridges with commuters

Hyderabad: In order to bridge the gap between the police and the commuters, the Hyderabad police have come up with a mobile application “HYDERABAD TRAFFIC LIVE”.

On 13 October, Commissioner of Police, M. Mahender Reddy, launched a mobile application “HYDERABAD TRAFFIC LIVE” at Basheerbagh conference hall. The application has several distinguishing characteristics such as Public interface i.e. commuters can give information of any violations, suggestions to police or register any complaints.

Additionally, it provides the distance to a destination as well as estimated auto fare. It would also provide the commuters with live traffic congestion details so that one can take a diversion if required.

Information about the nearest police station, e-challan status, registration details of a vehicle are a few other things that can be found through this mobile application.

Road Safety Tips, Traffic signs, details about traffic violation fines can also be found on this application.

Hyderabad police has also come up with a special android application wherein the footpath encroachment photographs clicked from a TAB will have all the data recorded and action would be taken.
