Hyderabad Cools Down After Heavy Rains
Hyderabad: As predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Heavy rains continued to lash the city on Saturday. The downpour accompanied by hail and gusty winds created havoc in the twin cities leaving the city in complete darkness. Hyderabadis were, at the same, relieved to get a breather from the heat, which had just began to build. The unseasonal showers therefore, gave many a sigh of relief, while some frowned at mother nature stepping in to disrupt their weekend plans.
Commuters also suffered a lot after they were stuck in traffic jams across the city due to inundated roads. The impact of rain could also be seen on low-lying areas in the city which got completely flooded in some places. Trees were also uprooted in several areas because of the thunderstorm and roads got blocked in many parts as heavy rains lashed the city. High rainfall has also been reported at Ibrahimpatnam on Saturday.
Along with the state capital, other regions in Telangana have also been affected due to the heavy rains. Farmers suffered huge losses as the sleet and storm damaged the crops. They are left gazing at the sky for an explanation for this sudden downpour. According to IMD, the reason for the sudden rainfall is the cumulonimbus clouds formed over the city.
