Hyderabad-Chennai Orange Travels Bus Catches Fire in Prakasham
Hyderabad: A private travels bus going from Hyderabad to Chennai is completely burnt when it hit a container at a high speed near Ulavapadu in Prakasham district in the early hours of Wednesday.
All the 18 passengers and the crew are safe.
Panic-stricken passengers woke up as the fire engulfed the bus after it hit the container from behind at around 5am and they jumped out before it was too late. The sleeper coach bus belongs to Orange Travels and it was the rashness of the driver that caused the accident, said passengers. The bus was moving between 120-130kmph at the time of accident, according to eye witnesses.
The bus is completely melted in the fire.
The container fell off the high way after being hit. However, no serious damage was caused.
3 Killed in Bus Accident Near Hubli
In another accident near Hubli in Karnataka, three persons died and nine others injured after the bus they were travelling met with an accident this morning. More details are awaited.
School Bus Goes Berserk, Students Safe
A school bus belonging to Krishnaveni School in Nalgona went out of control and fell off the road after its steering wheel broke this morning. Around 50 students were traveling in the bus, but no one was injured.
The accident took place as the steering wheel came off and driver lost control at Lingapur in Peddapur mandal.
Parents of the students heaved a sigh of relief, but demanded action against the school management for running out-dated buses for students transportation.
