Hyd police impose traffic restrictions for BJP meeting

Hyderabad police planned diversion of vehicles on Tuesday in view of BJP's national president Rajnath Singh's 'Thanksgiving for Telangana formation' public meeting at Nizam College grounds on Tuesday.

The city police have imposed the following traffic restrictions around Nizam College grounds from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

According to police: 

• Traffic moving from Taj Mahal hotel and Boggulakunta to Basheerbagh will be diverted at King Koti Crossroads towards Eden Garden Crossroads. 
• Vehicles from Ambedkar Statue junction heading towards Basheerbagh will be diverted at Liberty Crossroads towards Himayatnagar ‘Y’ Junction. 
• Motorists moving from Eden Garden Crossroads will be diverted at King Koti towards Taj Mahal junction and Boggulakunta. 
• Traffic from Cemetery junction will be diverted at Old MLA Quarters towards Himayatnagar ‘Y’ junction. 
• Vehicles moving from Narayanaguda Crossroads towards Basheerbagh Crossroads will be diverted at Himayatnagar ‘Y’ junction towards Liberty junction. 
• Only motorists attending the meeting will be permitted to go to Basheerbagh via PCR from Ravindra Bharathi and Nampally.
