In a shocking incident, a woman was done to death by her husband while she was traveling in an autorickshaw on Tuesday.
Kavitha, who was estranged with her husband Eswar, went missing 40 days ago from her husband's place and later surfaced at her parents' house. Eswar had already lodged a complaint of her going missing and on Tuesday, the police counselled both Eswar and Kavitha. After the counselling both were returning in an autorickshaw. As they reached Begumpet, Eswar pulled out a knife he brought with him and slashed her throat. Kavitha died on the spot and Eswar fled from the spot.
The police registered a case and are investigating. Efforts are on to nab Eswar.
