Hrithik Leaves Bollywood Khan’s Behind in Earnings
Going by the numbers of advance tax paid in December 2016, Hrithik Roshan has the khans beat this time. He has allegedly paid an advance tax amount of Rs 80 crore (till December 15, 2016). He had paid Rs 50 crore for the same period last year.
His latest movie ‘Mohenjo Daro’ made it to the Rs 100 crore club. Although the movie did not perform as well as expected, sources say it raked in a decent amount for Hrithik Roshan.
Coming close behind Hrithik is Aamir Khan who reportedly filed an advance tax of Rs 72 crore for the third quarter compared to Rs 34 crore in the same period last year. Trade analysts in the film industry claim that Aamir’s ‘Dangal’ would break all box office records in the weeks to come.
Ranbir Singh riding on the success of ‘Ae Dil Hey Mushkil’ and its augmented earnings from the nation wide controversy of its Pakistani actor, Fawad Ali, came in third with an advance tax of Rs 37 crore.
Salman Khan filed an advance tax of Rs 14 crore and Akshay Kumar Rs 10 crore.
Among the female actors Deepika Paduko paid an advance tax of Rs 3 crore and Kareena Kapoor Rs 70 lakh.
