How serious are Seemandhra ministers on Samaikyandhra?
Seemandhra ministers were blowing hot and cold on the issue of separate Telangana and thus, watering down the spirit of Samaikyandhra struggle with their contradictory statements.
Referring to Seemandhra People’s Representatives’ Forum's first meeting, slated for Thursday, minister P. Balaraju said Forum meeting is not against the CWC's decision and to discuss on how to strengthen the Congress Party in Seemandhra. He declared that the state bifurcation is inevitable and it is only left to the Seemandhra people to fight for their rights. He also said that they would meet the group of ministers (GoM) constituted in Centre on the State division, to seek special package to Seemandhra.
In diagonally opposite tone, his cabinet colleague and forum convener, Sake Sailajanath dared the State and Union Ministers of Seemandhra region to declare the same before the public."Go and tell to the public that state bifurcation is inevitable if you have guts," he said. Sailajanath made it clear that that the forum will not meet the union ministers over the Telangana issue. Tomorrow's meeting is to finalize the strategy to be adapted in future to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
Another minister Kondru Murali said that Seemadnhra MLAs will oppose Telangana resolution in the Assembly, but none will leave the party.
