'How can students be faulted?'

Parents of students of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology gheraoed management of the college for the tragedy that took place in Beas river in Himachal Pradesh in this week.

“The management is saying that the fault lies with students only. But, the travel agency which took the students to the area has no prior experience in the same kind of activity. Further,the agency did not have the necessary licence too,” blamed the parents.

Secretary of the college D.N.Rao explained, “The students entered the river as it lies just beside the road. All the things will be known in the inquiry only. We are thinking of giving compensation to the families of those students who are killed in the incident.”
