How can date of AP formation change, asks YS Jagan
YSRCP chief Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly criticised the arbitrary changing of the AP formation day.
He said when a part of a state gets separated, the formation day of the original state does not change.
Speaking at the AP formation day organised at the YSRCP headquarters, he pointed out that the formation days of Madhya Pradesh, UP and Bihar did not change though Chhattisgarh, Uttaranchal and Jharkand respectively were carved out of them. "One cannot fathom why Chandrababu Naidu decided that AP was formed on July 3 instead of November 1," he said.
"November 1 reminds us of the sacrifices of our great leaders. We recall their deeds on that day. It is meaningless to change the formation day," he said.
The party hoisted the Tricolour on the AP formation Day. Senior leaders Dharmana Prasada Rao, Jyothula Nehru and others were present on the occasion.
