Honeytrap: Hyderabad Woman Blackmails Man To Extract Money

Hyderabad: In yet other case of honey-trap, a Hyderabad man was duped by a woman claiming to be from Singapore. The victim, a resident of LB Nagar, said that he got a friend request on Facebook from the woman which he accepted. They would regularly chat for a few days after which they switched to video calls. During this time, the woman identified as Criztine Lea Wetpacks, requested him to send his pictures to her.

After getting the pictures, the woman hatched a plan to trap the victim, by morphing his pictures and videos. She then sent them to him threatening to upload them on social media. Fearing damage to his reputation, the victim transferred Rs 30,000 into her account. Later as she started demanding more money, the victim shared his issues with his family members, who then approached the cyber crime sleuths at Rachakonda.

The victim then told the woman about his complaint who then stopped torturing him and also deactivated her social media account. The officials are probing the matter to find out more.
