Hit by Dy CM's convoy, woman dies

A person who was injured after being hit by Telangana deputy chief minister T Rajaiah's convoy on November 30, died on Saturday.

Deputy CM's convoy rammed  into victim Gulam Sadiqunnisa Begum's car on November 30. She, her 6-year-old daughter Shahzaadi Mahjabeen, brother in-law Nayimullah Khan and husband Ghulam Ghouse suffered grievous injuries. They were rushed to nearby hospital in Hanmakonda. Sadiqunnisa was admitted and discharged from Care hospital in Hyderabad on December 9. Later, she was taken home where she developed complications and died on Friday.  
His convoy reportedly lost control on outskirts of Warangal and hit Sadiqunnisa's vehicle. the minister reportedly promised treatment for the injured. But when asked about it, victim's husband Ghulam Ghouse said "Despite Rs 5.5 lakh funds released by the authorities under CM's relief fund for my wife's treatment following a representation made to health minister Rajaiah, I spent more than a lakh from his pocket."

This incident triggered a severe backlash among minority and Dalit communities, who have called the minister "insensitive and inhuman."
