Hit-And-Run: Car Runs Amok Killing Spl. Branch SI At Langar Houz 

Hyderabad: A Special Branch SI was killed by a speeding car that ran amok on to the passersby at Tippukhan Pool in Langar Houz in the city in the early hours on Monday.

SI Krishnaiah(56), who was going for a morning walk, died on the spot as the car hit him at a high speed, according to eye witnesses. Panic-stricken other morning walkers ran away as the speeding car went out of control and rammed in to the footpath. The driver who saw Krishnaiah die on the spot fled at a high speed.

Krishnaiah was about celebrate his wedding day today, according to family.

Traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time due to the accident. The police shifted the body of the SI to Osmania hospital.
