Hindupur gives YS Jagan a passionate welcome
In a major embarrassment to actor and TDP MLA Bala Krishna, people came out in throes to great YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Hindupur.
He received a tumultuous welcome on Sunday as he began his 'Raithu Bharosa Yatra' (Farmers Assurance Yatra) to console the families of farmers who have committed suicide due to mounting debt burden in Anantapur.
Thousands of people congregated at Hindupur to greet YS Jagan. Hindupur is represented by Bala Krishna in the Assembly.
Addressing a mammoth gathering of people amidst thunderous applause, YS Jagan launched a blistering attack on the TDP government over its flip-flop on poll promises and for ignoring the interests of farmers.
He said that Chandrababu who had said that not a single farmer had committed suicide, has hurriedly admitted that there were 29 suicides in the district, after the YSRCP annunced the Rythu Bharosa Yatra.
He asked the crowd that if their loans were waived, the mammoth gathering at the venue were on their toes and replied in a deafening 'NO'.
Earlier in the day, he called on the family members of Siddappa who had committed suicide due to debt burden at Mamidakulapalem. He spent more than half an hour with the family. YS Jagan assured them that he was like their elder brother and would stand by them at all times.
