High Speed Biker Crashes To Death Wearing Costly Helmet

Jaipur: In a tragic incident, a high-speed biker died due to brain hemorrhage after hitting two pedestrians. The mishap was reported from Jaipur city of Rajasthan on Friday.

The biker, who was identified as Rohit Singh Shekhawat (30), was a sales manager at Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Malviya Nagar.

The mishap occurred when he was heading to his house in New Light Colony from Malviya Nagar on Friday evening after office. Rohit lost control of his high-end bike at WTP turning and crashed into two pedestrians who were crossing the road.

Eye witnesses said that the biker dragged one of the pedestrians for some distance before crashing. This resulted in a major head injury to Rohit. His helmet got stuck and he could not pull it out for some time. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors cut the helmet's ribbon and removed it. However, they could not save him.

The pedestrian who suffered major injuries is undergoing treatment at the hospital. His condition is stated to be critical. A case has been registered against Rohit under negligent driving following complaint from the pedestrian's parents. The case is being investigated by the police. The cost of the helmet that Rohit was wearing is said to be Rs 50,000.
