The last month, the Court asked the government to submit counters in three weeks time. But, the Chandrababu Naidu government did not respond to the notice.

The ruling TDP had issued GO 123 withdrawing as many as 273 cases pending against the leaders and ministers. Deputy Chief Ministers, Chinarajappa, KE Krishnamurthy and ministers like Devineni Uma, K Ravindra, K Atchannaidu, and N Anand Babu are among those against whom the cases were withdrawn without any prosecution.

Prominent among them are - a case of molestation and causing of hurt against minister K Atchannaidu and a case of attempt to murder against minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
