Setback to TRS as HC Asks Speaker to Act Against Defectors Within 90 Days

Hyderabad: High Court on Wednesday ordered Telangana Speaker Madhusudhana Chary to take a decision on disqualifying MLAs, who defected to ruling TRS, within 90 days.
Challenging the Bulletin issued by Assembly Secretary on March 10 stating that T-TDP has been merged into the TRS, a petition was filed in High Court.

After the completion of hearing on the case, High Court has issued orders to Telangana Speaker.

TDP MLA Revanth Reddy has filed a supplementary petition requesting the High Court to scrap the Bulletin issued by Assembly Secretary without taking cognizance on the complaints against the 12 defected MLAs, it’s illegal to officially announce the merger of T-TDP into TRS, Revanth Reddy argued in his petition and requested the High Court to give interim orders halting the Bulletin until the final judgment on the case.
