Helmets made compulsory in AP from Aug 1 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad:  Andhra Pradesh government made it compulsory for two-wheeler riders in the state to wear helmets from August 1.

Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao gave an instruction for implementation of the new rule to the departments concerned during a meeting on road safety in Hyderbad, a Government release said.

Krishna  Rao asked senior officials to initiate immediate action for implementing the guidelines of the Centre and the instructions issued by Supreme Court on road safety, it said. The meeting discussed several measures for ensuring road safety, including the helmet rule.
